PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPRES POVIDON IODINE 10% TERHADAP LAMA PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PERINEUM DI BPM ANI MAHMUDAH JALAN ANDANWANGI NO. 15 LAMONGAN

Rupture of the perineum occurs almost all first labor and not infrequently also in the next delivery. Perineal wound healing is affected by personal hygiene, nutrition, rest and wound care using antiseptic (povidone iodine 10%). Based on the results of the initial survey, there are still postpartum who experienced delay in healing the wound perineum. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of 10% povidon iodine compress on healing of perineal wound on postpartum mother at BPM Ani Mahmudah Lamongan.
The research design used was pre experiment, the population that is all postpartum giving birth at BPM Ani Mahmudah Lamongan, from May to July. Samples taken were all postpartum who meet inclusion criteria with consecutive sampling technique. Dependent variable is healing of perineal wound and independent variable that is giving 10% povidon iodine compress. Data were taken by interview and observation. Data processing using editing, coding, scoring and tabulating then analyzed using contingency coefficient test with α <0,05.
The results showed half a 50% postpartum was given 10% povidon iodine compress almost completely experienced rapid wound healing. The result of contingency coefficient test (C) = 0,464 p = 0,019 (p <α) so that Ho is rejected, it means there is a relation of 10% povidon iodine compressing to perineum wound healing on postpartum mother.
Reference from this research is need to increase the role of health officer in giving proper information about keeping personal hygiene after delivery and not forgetting 10% povidon iodine compress in order to optimize healing from perineal wound.
